I played through all of Pizza Quest and I LOVED it! I wasn't expecting such a funny game, the wifi gag seems like an inside joke but it was so cute how you kept calling back to it even in the magic skills.

Overall I want to congratulate you on such a well-rounded first game. You fit in a lot of mechanics and gameplay without overdoing anything. Implementing puzzles (I don’t even know how to do some of those lol), timers, balancing the fights, there is a lot you had to learn.

There is a lot of attention to detail I really appreciated. I tried to walk back to previous areas or places I wasn’t supposed to go to yet, and you always accounted for that with the main character saying things like “We have to go to work first”, ect…

And I loved how you implemented your art in the background, sprites, and busts. I particularly liked how you did the light from the windows in the castle hitting the floor. That was a nice bit of ambience.

Honestly I was pretty bad at the pizza art puzzle. I had to reload my save a lot before I realized it’s easier than it looks😂

I don’t have much critique to give you, I’m just impressed that this is your first game and you did so many cool gameplay and art ideas in such a short time. If I could say one thing it might be to check for typos and sentence flow. Sometimes the sentences ran on a bit too much or were difficult to read at first. Following and I’d love to see what kinds of games you make in the future!

(reposting from my review because I didn't realize reviews are private lol)

Your reply sparks joy to the point I read it multiple times!

I really appreciate that you played it and enjoyed it! it means a lot to me when a professional like you likes my game. I say that because I

Played VERISMO but didn't make an official reply yet ( I will once I have free time). I had to finish the pizza quest very fast before I get busy with other things, so I tend to focus on mechanics and art and missed out on the most common important thing like typos and dialogue speed (cries). The reason I accounted for a lot of things one of them, if you put  go right sign the player might not do it and  turn back and that would repeat unwanted events.

about the art, I think you might've noticed how the maps looked dull and every corner has yellow sign( I gave up LOL) in the beginning and it got parallaxes in game end maps (that's where I understood how it works xD )

As a thanks for trying the pizza quest.

I would be happy to add any character from your sprites ( of your choice ) as an NPC and make them say whatever you desire.
